Warwick’s La Jolla is hosting one of the world’s most influential punk bands, NOFX on Thursday, April 14th at 6PM, to sign their first tell-all autobiography, The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories.
NOFX formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by vocalist/bassist Fat Mike and guitarist Eric Melvin. The band rose to popularity during the 1990’s and has released a dozen studio albums, sold more than 8 million records (despite never signing with a major label), toured six continents, and founded one of the most successful indie labels in the world, Fat Wreck Chords.
Alongside hilarious anecdotes about pranks and drunkenness and teenage failures featuring the trademark NOFX sense of humor, The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories also shares the ugliness and horror the band members experienced on the road to becoming DIY millionaires.
Fans and non-fans alike will be shocked by the stories of murder, suicide, addiction, counterfeiting, riots, bondage, terminal illness, the Yakuza, and pee—lots and lots of pee. Told by each of the band members (and two former members), NOFX looks back at more than thirty years of comedy, tragedy, and completely inexplicable success.
NOFX will also be performing the same night at the House of Blues San Diego. NOFX La Jolla book signing is a ticketed event. Only books purchased from Warwick’s will be signed. Signing line will operate on a first-come first-served basis. Photography will be allowed. For more details please call the Warwick’s Book Department (858) 454-0347.
Warwick’s La Jolla is located at 7812 Girard Avenue, La Jolla, CA 92037.
