Madison Gallery in La Jolla invites you to visit their newest art exhibition by London based artist, Mauro Perucchetti: “The Power of Love.”

Perucchetti’s art is a mix of social critique and pop art. He incorporates familiar icons of today’s culture and engages social concerns such as addiction, and consumerism. Mauro’s work is influenced by 60s and 80s artists like Warhol’s Brillo Boxes, Jeff Koons Beers cans, and commodity artist Jasper John.
“I have put everything into making my art. I hope that people will connect with the messages and ideas in my work-above all I want to put “art” back into conceptual art. I am conceptual art. I am inspired by the Masters, and driven by process, techniques, and style.” – Mauro Perucchetti
This one man show features artwork constructed from some of Perucchetti’s signature materials including, Swarovski crystals, pigmented resin, and marble. His art pieces range from minimalist like his iconic Jelly Baby Buddha’s to life size like “The Precious One.”
“The Precious One” is eye-catching with its blinged out Swarovski crystals covering the female figure from head to toe topped with a syringe afro-like hair, sitting graciously on a white chair.
Mauro Perucchetti: “The Power of Love” exhibition is on view at Madison Gallery from Aug 24 – Sept 24, 2013. To learn more about Mauro Perucchetti or The Madison Gallery please
