FRIDAY AUGUST 30
US Sand Sculpting Challenge and 3D Art Exposition US Sand Sculpting Challenge and 3D Art Exposition Hundreds of thousands have come each year to see master-class sculptors build beautiful 3-dimensional works of art. Downtown San Diego ‘B’ Street Cruise Ship Terminal Pier. August 30, – September 02, 2013.

BARONA 43RD ANNUAL POWWOW SHARES TRADITIONAL NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE WITH SAN DIEGO The Barona Band of Mission Indians invites you to experience Native American dancing, music and cuisine at the 43rd annual Barona Powwow on the Barona Indian Reservation. The celebration starts on Friday, August 30 with gourd dancing at 6 p.m. and grand entry at 7 p.m. and continues throughout the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, August 31- September 1, from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Festival of Sail 2013 Festival of Sail is the LARGEST Tall Ship festival on the west coast and is hosted at the Maritime Museum of San Diego, transforming the North Embarcadero into a nautical theme park for 4 adventure filled days. Labor Day weekend. Friday August 30 thru Monday September 2, 2013. Open 9am to 7pm Friday – Sunday. Open 9am to 5pm Monday.

Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation The Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation is back this year in La Jolla. Watch animated shorts from around the world. MCASD in La Jolla 700 Prospect Street. Saturday August 31st 7pm and 9pm.

Octonauts LIVE at Westfield UTC Enjoy a complimentary event in Palm Plaza featuring Disney’s Octonauts with an interactive LIVE performance. ziggy marley Reggae Fest Featuring Ziggy Marley – Del Mar Concert Series The Del Mar Concert Series comes to a close with world famous Jamaican reggae singer and oldest son of Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley.
