The brand new La Plaza La Jolla on the corner of Wall and Girard has announced its next three tenants! Two new boutiques and one restaurant will be opening this year: Azzura Capri, Kenneth Barlis boutique, and Le Petit Bistrot.
Azzura Capri: A Mediterranean-inspired sandal brand and boutique that will offer sandals (also sold in places like Dubai, Qatar, and the Caribbean) and contemporary labels/designers. The boutique’s design will mirror the blue and white color scheme of the label and provide complimentary styling consultation, comprehensive wardrobe assessments, and exclusive collection viewings! Set to open this August.
Le Petit Bistrot: A delicious, authentic French bistro with an acclaimed chef of the Cote d’Azur at the helm! With roots in the culinary mecca of Paris, this will be the Bistro’s first California restaurant location. Items on the menu will include traditional Parisian home-style dishes created by St. Tropez ‘celeb toque’ Gérard Chauvet and his sous-chef, including French Onion Soup, Escargots a la Bourguignonne and Duck Confit et Pommes Salardaises – all day from breakfast to dinner. A full bar menu, including an extensive selection of fine wines curated by the Bistrot’s sommelier and local craft beers, will complement the Paris classics. Guests will be able to view dishes being prepared via an open kitchen. Set to open this December.
KENNETH BARLIS: A boutique named after the retail location of the 2012 Fashion Week San Diego winner, San Diego’s luxury formal and bridal wear designer, will open his first flagship boutique at La Plaza La Jolla. Philippines-born Barlis has shown his collections internationally and has been featured in fashion publications all over the world, including Vogue Italia. He is known for luxurious designs featuring signature intricate layering, detail and use of natural materials. The 1,277 square- foot retail location will showcase the KENNETH BARLIS Collection as well as custom-designed evening and bridal wear. Set to open this August.
La Plaza La Jolla is truly an elegant space: Spanish and Moroccan design elements have blended with Southern California charm to create a three-story, 27,000 square foot open-air shopping center right in the heart of La Jolla. Have you been over to check it out yet?
