Summer solstice, which marks the official start of summer, is this Saturday. That means it’s time to enjoy the outdoors and hang out under the sun! We’ve round up some of the best events happening around La Jolla and San Diego. Here is our La Jolla Weekend Events roundup:
28th Annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts
What: Meet nearly 200 artists in an intimate setting of original fine art, entertainment and delicious cuisines, complemented with fine wine and craft beer. To purchase tickets please visit www.lajollaartfestival.org.

San Diego International Beer Festival
What: Taste, enjoy, and purchase more than 400 different types of beer from more than 15 countries! Participants include Societe Brewing Co, Maui Brewing Co, The Lost Abbey, Pizza Port Brewing Co, Angry Orchard Cider, Hangar 24, and tons more.
When: June 20-22, noon-9pm.

Summer Solstice Celebration and Jewelry Showing
What: Please join SoCal Queen, a premiere La Jolla women’s clothing store, for a wonderful evening of fun with refreshments, prizes, learning, and shopping!

San Diego Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Festival
What: A great party on the year’s first Friday of summer! Dance under the stars. Sample wine, cheese, and chocolate.

Summer Movies in the Park
What: Summer Movies in the Park is a perfect chance to relax and enjoy a safe and special night under the stars. Showing at various locations around San Diego.

La Jolla Playhouse Presents: El Henry
What: Written in Calo, a unique poetic cadence that mixes urban Spanish and English slang, and performed outdoors in an urban street environment this world premiere adaptation is Shakespeare for the 21st Century. To purchase tickets please visit www.lajollaplayhouse.org.
