La Jolla Week Ahead | March 3-7

Welcome to March! Jump start the month at one of these fun and exciting events happening in La Jolla. Race over to the Relay For Life of La Jolla Kick-Off or attend a fashion event to raise money for The Princess Project. Here is a look at the week ahead:

What: The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of La Jolla planning committee will host a kick-off event! Activities include food from local restaurants, a raffle and more. Bring your neighbors, friends and family who want get involved.
When: 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4.
Where: La Jolla High School, 750 Nautilus St.

theprincessproject6th Annual Princess Project RUNWAY
What: This fun fashion event that will raise money to provide free prom dresses and accessories for local high school girls who can’t afford them. The Princess Project RUNWAY event features students from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) demonstrating a live interactive draping and production of a prom dress. Enjoy live entertainment, music by DJ Joe Mama, local craft beers and wines, special gourmet food items and more. The cost is $25 pre-pay or $30 at the door.
When: 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, March 6.
Where: La Jolla Brewing Company, 7536 Fay Ave.

What: Join young professionals ages 21-45 for a fun music and art mixer. Enjoy local food, a full bar, music, an art exhibit and more. The cost is $10 for members and $12 for non-members.
When: 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6.
Where: La Jolla Athenaeum, 1008 Wall St.

What: Kids of all ages are welcome to participate in hands-on arts and crafts projects. The free workshop is led by high school students from The Bishop’s School.
When: 3:30-5 p.m. on Friday, March 7.
Where: La Jolla-Riford Branch Library, 7555 Draper Ave.
