La Jolla Week Ahead | March 17-21

Happy St. Patty’s Day! If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in La Jolla, D. G. Wills Books on Girard Avenue, will host the 35th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Open Reading of Irish Poetry and Prose at 7 p.m. tonight. There are plenty of fun things to do this week from Warwick’s Cheese Concierge to free admission to Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego La Jolla. Here is a look at La Jolla’s week ahead:

What: Edgar Award-winning author of The Expats, Chris Pavone will discuss and sign his most recent book, The Accident. Reserved seating is available!
When: 7:30-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18.
Where: Warwick’s, 7812 Girard Ave.

Warwick’s Cheese Concierge: March 2014

What: Warwick’s and Venissimo Cheese present The Cheese Concierge featuring three Irish cheeses for $25.
When: 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, March 20.
Where: Warwick’s, 7812 Girard Ave.

Free Third Thursday at MCASD La Jollamcasd

What: Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego La Jolla hosts free admission every third Thursday of the month. Plus visitors will receive a free gallery guide-led tour at 5 and 6pm.
When: 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 20.
Where: MCASD La Jolla, 700 Prospect St.

Breakfast With Champions

What: UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center teamed up with Mike Haynes, Pro Football Hall of Famer and prostate cancer survivor, and Charlie Joiner, Pro Football Hall of Famer and former San Diego Charger to raise money for prostate cancer research. Guests will have the opportunity to hear personal stories of the NFL legends’ battles on the field while seated at NFL-themed team tables.
When: 8-10 a.m. on Friday, March 21.
Where: La Jolla Country Club, 7301 High Ave.
