La Jolla Festival of the Arts Spotlight

The La Jolla Festival of the Arts will celebrate its BIG 25th anniversary Festival June 18-19 at UC San Diego Warren Field on East Campus. The Festival, now celebrating a quarter century of art and giving, started as a small fundraiser and since has blossomed into a much-anticipated regional art extravaganza raising tens of thousands of dollars annually for the disabled community. Spanning a variety of artistic disciplines, the Festival promises the outstanding work of nearly 200 award-winning artists selected by an experienced jury. Event attendees will enjoy an area dedicated to the Festival’s past 25 years as well as eclectic food, craft beers and fine wines, live entertainment, book signings and demonstrations from local celebrity chefs and authors, a classic car display and an interactive kid’s zone.

One hundred percent of the Festival’s net proceeds go to support adaptive programs for San Diegans with disabilities, including many returning veterans. Since the Festival’s inception, the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation has donated well over $1.7 million to such programs, which has enhanced the lives of over 35,000 individuals throughout the years.

The Festival will take place on Saturday, June 18th and Sunday, June 19th, from 9am to 5pm at UC San Diego Warren Field on East Campus located at Genesee Avenue and Campus Point Drive off I-5 at Genesee or I-805 at La Jolla Village Drive. Admission is $10. Parking is free. The venue is completely disabled-accessible. All animals except properly-identified disabled-assist dogs are prohibited.
