Psychemagik @Herringbone La Jolla
The UK duo, known for their sensational disco and psychedelic edits, obscenelyvast record collections, beautiful production work and transcendent mixtape journeys will be gracing Herringbone, La Jolla for their first time. No cover, event starts @7pm. Friday May 3rd @Herringbone La Jolla.

Lifelike @MCASD La Jolla
Is it real? Lifelike invites a close examination of works based on commonplace objects and situations, which are startlingly realistic, often playful, and sometimes surreal. Runs through Monday, May 27, 2013.

Prospect 2013 @MCASD La Jolla
This annual group exhibition offers a “prospect”—a view—of the current art scene, even as it anticipates and imagines our understanding of what will become art history. Runs through Monday, May 27, 2013.

Cinco De Mayo Senior Dance
The dance is held at the La Jolla Recreation Center in the multi-purpose room. Dinner, punch, coffee and dessert will be served. Live entertainment will be provided. The doors open at 5:15 p.m. $10.00 per person (Ages 55+). Friday, May 3, 2013.


Junior League of San Diego Food and Wine Festival
Over 50 of San Diego’s best restaurants and beverage purveyors will be offering exquisite bites, flavorful wines, top craft and micro brews, and exotic cocktail tastings to their exclusive guests. This year’s festival will be celebrating the Kentucky Derby, donning the best hats and cheering on the Run for the Roses! Saturday, May 4, 2013

Cinco de Mayo Celebration @Mary Star of the Sea
Come and celebrate Cinco De Mayo at Mary Star of the Sea with live music and authentic Mexican food catered by Alfonso’s! Live Mexican music while enjoying good food, freshly made tortillas, cerveza, margaritas and of course lots of tequila!
