Haven’t made it out to the San Diego County Fair yet? Don’t worry, it isn’t too late to take in the fun at this year’s fair. With Del Mar’s close proximity to La Jolla, there’s no reason not to visit and the final two weeks of the fair are still packed with great entertainment and fun for the whole family.
If you’re concerned that the final weeks of the fair won’t be as exciting as the first, the fair has scheduled a variety of live concerts from top performers including Train, Adam Lambert, Monster Trucks, Demolition Derby and there will be an appearance by “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Of course, you can still get your fill of delicious fair food during the final weeks of the San Diego County Fair. Although you may not be able to find any La Jolla restaurants offering samples in the concessions area, there will be no shortage of some favorite fair treats including funnel cake, fried pickles, popcorn and more. Be sure to stop by on the last Tuesday of the fair to enjoy the “Tastes of the Fair” where you can sample different foods from popular vendors.
What’s a trip to the fair without spending some time on the carnival rides? Even during the last Wednesday and Thursday of the fair, visitors can enjoy the Pepsi One Price Ride Days where you pay once and are able to enjoy as many rides as you want.
You have until July 4th to enjoy the performances, tasty treats and thrilling rides of the San Diego County Fair. On the final day of the fair, dress up in your patriotic colors and enjoy the 4th of July parade and don’t miss out on the largely anticipated fireworks show!
