Community Spotlight: Dr. Sarah Ghayouri of Sarapy Wellness Clinic

“You can always improve something about your health. It is never too late to improve your health and vitality.” claims Dr. Sarah Ghayouri of Sarapy Wellness Clinic in La Jolla. A physician and internist certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr. Ghayouri has dedicated her life and career to providing high quality care for her patients.

Sarapy Clinic La Jolla dr. Sarah Ghayouri Dr. Gharyouri received her medical degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and completed her specialty in internal medicine at New York Methodist Hospital of Cornell University. She later provided conventional internal medicine and hospital care at both Emory Eastside Hospital and Gwinnett Medical Center.

In 2005, Dr. Ghayouri established her second medical practice in Georgia — Atlanta Wellness and Aesthetics, where she practiced more innovative anti-aging and wellness therapies along with traditional internal medicine and cosmetic dermatology.

After practicing traditional internal medicine for years, she expanded her repertoire to include preventive, regenerative, and laser medicine. In her own words, “I have practiced conventional internal medicine for more than 20 years. I took care of my patients at my office, at the hospital, rehab centers, and nursing home whenever needed. This continuity of care provided an opportunity to witness the natural course of different chronic diseases.”

For instance, chronic inflammation is the main cause of most common chronic medical conditions, such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, arthritis and dementia. As we get older, our body changes (and inflammation occurs) as the result of a decline in our hormones, our exposure to nutritional and environmental toxins, changes in our intestinal micro biome, and lack of sleep and exercise along with the stressful lifestyles that many of us lead.

Balancing hormones to prevent severe disease like diabetes, cancer, and obesity, as well as managing hormones to improve mood, anxiety, menopause, and mental health have become Dr. Ghayouri’s forte as she seeks to treat the whole person in specific ways that are tested and retested for efficacy. Every patient is unique and gets special treatment tailored to their needs.

Dr. Sarah Gharyouri relocated to La Jolla in 2015 and established Sarapy Wellness Clinic on Prospect St., where she offers personalized internal medicine, bio identical hormone replacement therapy, weight loss programs, and cosmetic laser treatments for skin rejuvenation, along with additional anti-aging services. She acknowledges, “I am very passionate about promoting health. My goal is to provide the best care for my patients to help them feel as good and healthy as possible.”

Dr. Sarah Ghayouri knows that for optimal health “…it comes down to lifestyle, enough sleep, positive attitude, exercise, and balancing your whole body and hormones.” She strongly recommends beginning preventative treatments between the ages of 30 and 45 to maximize what her skills and knowledge can do for you both internally and externally. Dr Ghayouri currently resides in La Jolla. She is an active mother of two daughters and her hobbies include ballroom dancing and hiking.

Sarapy Clinic is located at 850 Prospect St Ste 2, La Jolla, CA 92037.
