Celebrate the Season at Adelaide’s Holiday Open House This November

adelaide's holiday open houseThe Adelaide’s Holiday Open House has been a La Jolla Christmas tradition for more than 25 years. It’s a great way to get in the holiday spirit and provides locals with the opportunity to browse a sampling of the gifts our local shops are offering this holiday season. On Sunday November 8 from 10am – 4pm, shoppers will be among the first to sample and buy holiday item selections from a variety of Girard Avenue merchants.

Each business will be celebrating the holiday spirit with several store drawings, food, refreshments, music, book signings and demonstrations, great gift ideas, and old-fashioned friendly service. In the spirit of the season, participating vendors will be donating 10% of all sales from that day to local charities. Participating merchants include Geppetto’s, Warwick’s, Meanley & Son Ace Hardware, and Girard Gourmet. The La Jolla Country Day Madrigals will be putting on a special performance at noon while guests shop.

Adelaide’s (located at 7766 Girard Avenue) has been one of La Jolla’s favorite florists and gift shops since 1949. They have an incredible selection of flowers and plants for every occasion – from birthdays to weddings and special occasions – and provide local as well as international delivery. In addition to fresh flowers and plants, the shop carries unique and expertly-crafted gifts like decorative containers, gourmet food and fruit baskets, candles, bath products, jewelry, and cards.

The 2015 open house will take place along the 7700 and 7800 blocks of Girard Avenue; look for the green and gold balloons and get ready to shop for a great cause!
