Boasted as the world’s largest gathering of fashion filmmakers, the 7th Annual La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival (LJIFFF #7) is back this year with an even better curated selection of films. The prestigious event is held at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, in the heart of the village. Views of the ocean, coupled with the stunning architectural design of buildings surrounding the area, makes it one of the most beautiful film festivals of its kind, gaining itself the worthy title of the “Cannes of the Fashion Film World”. As always, hundreds of renowned fashion filmmakers from around the world will attend this exclusive festival, and event-goers will have the opportunity to network, attend seminars & panels, make deals, and so much more.
The festival’s pre-opening reception will be held at The Lot, a beautiful modern restaurant and multiplex theater, featuring 3 brand new murals from renowned artist Antonio Contreras. Other installations include works from Michael Stervinou, Rossano B. Maniscalchi, and Formento & Formento. Attendees will have the opportunity to view screenings at a selection of breathtaking venues such like the gallery at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, and the MCASD Coast Room, which features an open patio and the Pacific Ocean as a casual backdrop. Of course, red carpet photo opportunities and exclusive, star studded after parties completes the experience.
Some notable winners of years’ past include Lykke Li, James Franco, Victor Calamunt, and Ari Schneiderman. This year, nominations include reputable titles including A Story About Her, Into Me, The Good Italian 2, and The One 3.
The event begins on Friday, July 29th, and goes until Saturday, July 30th. For more information regarding the event and how to attend, please visit the festival website here.
