On Monday, May 18, museums all over the world will be celebrating International Museum Day. The theme of the day: free.
To begin, the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego (MCASD) is offering free admission to both its Downtown and La Jolla locations to the general public. Additionally, it will offer local college students a chance to relax and unwind during their week of finals by hosting Finals Escape: College Afternoon, taking place from 11 AM-5 PM. Each location, in addition to free admission, will also offer their own opportunities:
La Jolla: The La Jolla MCASD location will offer two exhibition tours, free of charge: Dear Nemesis, Nicole Eisenman 1993-2003, and SARAH CAIN blue in your body, red when it hits the air. Additionally, La California food truck will be cooking up its unique Cali/Mex cuisine. Guests can look forward to live music and art-making activities with Project Artivism.
