Join the Jewish Family Service of San Diego on March 9th for cocktails, a live silent auction, dinner, and an acoustic performance by Matisyahu for a chance to give back to your community.
The Heart & Soul Gala is a major fundraiser for the Jewish Family Service of San Diego, a nonprofit human service organization. Since 1918, JFS of San Diego has been a trusted community resource for people in times of need; their programs include the Hand Up Youth Food Pantry, JFS Employment & Career Services, three Social & Wellness Centers for Adults 60+, Jewish BIGPals, On the Go: Transportation Solutions for Older Adults, Project SARAH (domestic abuse awareness and support), and many more.
As a whole, JFS provides assistance to more than 35,000 individuals each year in the San Diego community and utilizes a basic, universal message: you aren’t alone! Celebrate the extraordinary accomplishments of Mitzvah Award Honorees, Karen Foster Silberman and Carol & Rick Kornfeld, with a special tribute to Alice Cohn and raise money to keep their foundation going strong.
Last year, the Gala raised more than $850,000 to support their foundation. The 2014 Heart and Soul Gala well be held on Sunday March, 9th – 5PM at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. Tickets cost just $125 each, and can be purchased at here.
