This year’s Secret Garden Tour of La Jolla, Saturday, May 14th, will highlight “California Living in Outdoor Rooms” with six gardens plus a bonus garden for Platinum Tour ticket holders. The tour gives the public a rare opportunity to wander through the gardens and courtyards of some of La Jolla’s most beautiful Secret Gardens.

What sets this garden tour apart? The location! Beautiful views and coastal settings make this garden tour unlike any other in San Diego. As an added bonus the gardens will also be enhanced with music performed by local musicians as well as tabletop displays by local designers and merchants, and by local artists capturing each home and garden’s unique beauty in real-time.

Also returning this year is The Secret Garden Boutique at Wisteria Cottage. Open to the public from 9:00-5:30, shop and enjoy a collection of gardening accessories, plants and gifts available for purchase.

Past tours have showcased some of La Jolla’s large estate gardens, as well as intimate cottage-style, romantic Mediterranean, formal French and English gardens. Why is it “secret garden”? This is because the locations are not publicly disclosed until the day of the tour. There are two versions of the Tour: the Self-Guided Tour, and the Platinum Tour which includes an elegant brunch and shuttle transportation to the gardens.
