12 (absolute) Best La Jolla Hotels, Motels & Inns

best la jolla hotels
Our “Absolute” best of La Jolla is back and this time we break down the best La Jolla hotels. The break down: Again, just like our previous ‘best of’, this list is an aggregate of scores (think Metacritic) from three public rating sites: Tripadvisor, Yelp, and Google. We go more into detail about our methodology in our previous post here.

We also set an average standard and coverage boundary. Why? We wanted to list hotels we could actually vouch for or that we ourselves would stay in. Therefore, we filtered out any La Jolla hotel with an average rating below 3.5. The coverage boundary starts at Bird Rock and ends at North Torrey Pines Road. Why? This is because we truly want travelers to experience the essence of La Jolla. When you think of La Jolla, you think beach. We believe you should be able to get to it, within a reasonable amount of time and least effort. And the 12 best La Jolla hotels are…
